One afternoon a young couple stopped by. The white pup wagged his little tail and licked the woman's hand. She ran her fingers over his soft, snowy fur. The pup nipped at her husband's shoe and undid his shoelace. "You're the one for us," the woman laughed. "I think with that Roman nose, we'll call you Caesar."

Caesar liked his new home. It was warm and safe. He had a soft bed, interesting toys and a big back yard to play in. There were so many wonderful things to chew on.
