Peter, illustrator of Condor Magic, is both an artist and author who received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1978 from the Claremont Colleges. Since 1983, he has presented more than 25 one-man shows at galleries and museums across the United States. Mr. Stone's professional affiliations include the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, and the Copley Society of Boston. He serves as a juror and advisor to the Art by Kids program of Young At Arts, the educational initiative of the Wang Center for the Performing Arts in Boston, MA.

His original paintings from Condor Magic will be part of the artist's touring museum exhibition beginning at the Academy of Natural Sciences late in 2000. Mr. Stone is currently working on a book of illustrated nonfiction and novel about the heritable New England landscape.
